Audition Process:

Admission to the Blue Heron Charitable Orchestra (BHCO) is based on artistic excellence, commitment, and alignment with our mission.

To apply, please complete the online form and upload your materials accordingly:

• For biographies or documents, you may upload files directly (max 10MB each).

• For performance videos, please choose one of the following for your BHCO audition video:

1. One movement of a standard solo work (concerto or sonata), or

2. A short solo work (five to eight minutes), or

3. Three standard orchestral excerpts

*Repertoire chosen should demonstrate the applicant’s musical and technical ability as well as artistic interest.

*Please provide a YouTube link instead of uploading the video file. This ensures we can view your recordings in full quality without file size limits.

• A short statement on what inspires you to be part of BHCO.

This submission counts as your audition. Our artistic team will carefully review all materials, and applicants will typically receive an answer within one week.

Participation in our first charity concert (A Vienna Duel – Stravinsky’s Pulcinella Suite, Verdi’s La Forza del Destino Overture, Bach’s BWV 1052 mvt.1) is highly recommended for all new members. Future BHCO concerts will include both charity performances (20%) and paid engagements (80%).
