Admission to the Blue Heron Symphony Orchestra (BHSO) is determined by artistic excellence, professional discipline, and alignment with our mission of serving society through music.

We welcome applications from exceptional musicians who aspire to perform at the highest level while contributing to meaningful humanitarian purpose.

Application Requirements

To apply, please complete the online audition form and submit the following:

1. Performance Video

Submit one of the following options:

• One movement of a concerto or sonata, or

• A solo work (5–8 minutes), or

• Three standard orchestral excerpts

Repertoire should clearly demonstrate your musical depth, technical command, and artistic personality.

Please provide a YouTube link (unlisted or public). This ensures optimal audio/video quality.

Share in a few sentences what inspires you to join the BHSO and our mission to support children in need through music.

This submission serves as Round One of the audition process.

Next Steps

Candidates selected from Round One will be invited to an in-person audition in Vienna.

All materials are reviewed by our artistic committee. Results are typically communicated within 7 days.

Rehearsals & Performances

Our debut charity concert on 1 December is strongly recommended for new members.

Future seasons will consist of approximately 20% charitable concerts and 80% professional engagements.
